Why Conversion Campaigns Alone Won't Work for Your Brand
Conversion campaigns are not the only measure of marketing success. Before launching your next campaign, understand your funnel readiness and audience trust level to avoid wasting budget on reaching strangers.

Words I don't like: "The only campaigns that are worth it are conversion campaigns."
They're not.
First: it depends on what your brand needs.
→ If your goal is awareness, positioning, or entering a new market, conversion is the wrong way to measure success.
→ Different goals need different campaigns.
Second: a conversion campaign only works if the rest of the funnel is in place.
→ Conversion campaigns work best if people already know you.
→ If no one knows you, you are trying to sell on hard mode.
Third: conversion campaigns eventually run out of steam.
→ Without new people learning about you, you run out of buyers fast.
→ Your cost per sale goes up every week. The campaign that worked in week 1 stops working in week 6.
Why does this matter?
Brands treat conversion as the only "real" marketing. It's not.
The biggest waste isn't a bad conversion campaign. It's launching a good version campaign before the rest of the funnel is ready.
Apply this learning tomorrow:
Before approving your next conversion campaign, ask yourself this question:
"How much did we do in the last 60 days to make this audience trust us?"
→ A lot? Go for it.
→ Some? Run awareness and conversion at the same time.
→ Almost nothing? Don't launch yet. Build awareness first, or you'll pay full price to reach total strangers.
After 500+ brand partnerships at RealUp, the pattern is the same: the brands that convert fast did so because they were ready.
Conversion isn't a eureka moment. It's the work you did weeks before you launched.
